Weekly Routine
Vacuum weekly
Use the upholstery attachment to remove dust, crumbs and pet hair before they settle into the weave.
Flip & rotate cushions
Rotate and flip loose cushions weekly to even out wear and prevent one-sided compression.
Keep pets off (or covered)
Use a washable throw where pets are allowed — pet oils and claws damage fabric fast.
Keep out of direct sun
Sun fades and weakens upholstery fibres. Use sheer curtains or UV film on sunny windows.

Spot Cleaning Fabric Lounges
Blot, never rub
Dab spills with a clean white cloth from the outside in to stop spreading.
Match cleaner to code
Using water on an "S" fabric leaves watermarks; using solvent on a "W" fabric can damage the weave.
Test a hidden area first
Always check for colourfastness on a seam or under a cushion before treating a visible stain.
Body oil build-up
Head and arm rests darken over time. This needs professional extraction — home cleaning smears it.
How Often to Professionally Clean
Family lounges should be professionally cleaned every 12 months; lighter-use rooms every 18–24 months. A professional extraction removes embedded soil, body oils and allergens that vacuuming cannot reach, and re-fluffs compressed pile.
Protection
Ask about a fabric protector after each professional clean. It forms a barrier against spills and stains, makes daily spot cleaning far easier, and prolongs the look and life of the upholstery.
